Spring Peeper
Hyla crucifer bartramiana

Description:
Small (less than 1.3"), primarily aquatic frog with rough skin.  Usually brown, gray or greenish.  Often has a triangular mark just behind the head and between the eyes.  Inside of thigh has two dark stripes.  Has webbed hind feet.
Similar Species:
All cricket frogs have webbed feet, chorus frogs do not.  No parotoid glands like toads, no toe pads like treefrogs.

Little Grass Frog
Pseudacris ocularis

Description:
Our smallest frog (only up to 0.67").  A beige frog with broad coppery stripes that extend lengthwise.  Dark stripe through the eye.   Between this stripe and the upper lip is a thin white stripe that extends beyond the tympanum.
Similar Species:
Young cricket frogs have dark stripes on inner thighs; grass frogs do not.   Cricket frogs usually have a triangular-shaped pattern on head.

Southern toad

Southern Toad
Bufo terrestris

Description:
Large, warty toad (up to 3.6").  Two large, bony ridges between eyes.   Large kidney-shaped parotoid glands.  Only toads have parotoid glands.   Color may be brick red or brown to light gray.
Similar Species:
Oak toads are typically smaller with a yellow to orange stripe down center of back and have no bony ridge between the eyes.
