Are you wild about animals? Kids aren't the only ones having fun at the zoo! This just-for-teachers night will allow you to network with educators from around the state, share ideas, and brainstorm a plan of action that encourages students t o get involved. Busch Gardens' Education staff facilitates standards-based, interdisciplinary activities for grades K-12 and provides take-home curriculum.
EcoInvaders (For Educators of Grades K-5): EcoInvaders introduces you to some of the world's most wanted…INVADERS! Through fun hands-on activities and interactive story-telling, you'll apprehend the suspects and reap the rewards; knowledge of what it takes to preserve and maintain a well-balanced ecosystem. Invasive species, how they get here, how they cau se problems, and inventive solutions are just some of the concepts you'll explore. Busch Gardens' Education staff facilitates standards-based, interdisciplinary activities for grad es K-6 and provides take-home curriculum.
Zookeeper for a Night (For Educators of Grades 6-12): Zookeeper-After-Dark offers a unique opportunity to see what goes into caring for over 2,000 animals in a world-class zoo first-hand. This special sleepover incorporates behind-the-scenes activities, up-close animal encounters, and time with the animal care professionals who call Busch Gardens home. A nimal behavior, exotic veterinary medicine, conservation education, nutrition and enrichment are just some of the concepts you'll explore. Busch Gardens' Education staff facilitate s standards-based, interdisciplinary activities for grades 6-12 and provides take-home curriculum.
Animal Adaptations (For Educators of Grades K-5): Come join us and meet professional zoo staff and investigate the park after dark. As the lights go down, see firsthand the amazing transformation of nocturnal species - and meet a few animal ambassadors with some very special traits face-to-face.
ABC's of Conservation (For Educators of Grades 6-12): Join us after hours to gather new ideas on how to introduce and integrate conservation into your classroom no matter what subject you teach!
