Killer Whales
Whales are air-breathing mammals like us, but they live their entire lives in the sea. Some whales jump high out of water and land on their backs or sides, making a huge splash! These jumps are called breaches.

Penguins
Emperor penguins do not build nests. A mother penguin lays a single egg and passes it to her mate. She goes to sea to feed on prey such as krill (a small crustacean) while the father penguin incubates the egg. She returns several weeks later, usually just before the egg is ready to hatch.

The father penguin incubates the egg on the top of his feet, where a featherless patch of abdominal skin keeps the egg warm. He fasts until the penguin mother returns.

Sharks
Sharks are fish. They belong to a group of fish that have hard, pointed scales and skeletons made of cartilage (the same kind of connective tissue that makes up your ears). A keen sense of smell helps sharks find prey.

BLACK RHINO
Black rhinos are large, stocky animals and naturally gray in color. Black rhinos have two facial horns. These horns are not “true horns” that are attached to the skull. Instead, a rhino's horns grow from the skin and are made up of keratin fibers, the same material found in hair and nails.
